Vivi Tellas, theater director and curator with great influence on the Argentine scene. Distinguished with the Belknap Fellow by the Humanities Council of Princeton University (2014) and named Outstanding Personality of Culture by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (2015). She is the creator of Biodrama, a revolutionary project on stage biographies. The search for theatricality outside the theater has become the center of his work. His unique conception of documentary theater has led to a series of live archives with non-professional performers (My Mom and My Aunt, Three Philosophers with Mustaches, Cozarinsky and His Doctor, Driving School, Women Guide and Disc Jockey) and other works such as Rabbi Rabino (New York), O Rabino e seu Filho (San Pablo), The witch and her daughter, Maruja in love, The people (a massive play with employees of the San Martín Theater), The Rieznik child and The friends. Pablo Messiez was born in Buenos Aires in 1974. He made his debut in 2007 as a playwright and director of “Before”, a very free version of “Frankie and the wedding”, by Carson McCullers. Before “Before”, Messiez had been on stage for more than 20 years. He began studying acting at the age of 12. Among his teachers are Ricardo Bartís, Juan Carlos Gené and Rubén Szuchmacher, with whom he also studied conducting. He has performed for directors of the Argentine scene such as Leonor Manso, Cristián Drut, Rubén Szuchmacher and Daniel Suárez Marsal among others. In 2005 he was summoned by Daniel Veronese to participate in “A Drowning Man”, a version of “Three Sisters”, by Anton Chekhov, a show that was part of the Summer Festival at Lincoln Center in New York and the Tokyo International Arts Festival. “A man who is drowning” toured Spain in 2006 and returned in 2007, opening the season of the National Dramatic Center at the María Guerrero Theater in Madrid and performing at the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona. Messiez continued working with Daniel Veronese until he left Argentina in December 2008. In 2010 he premiered “Muda” (a work of his authorship with which he made two seasons at the Pradillo theater in Madrid). The Fernán Gómez Theater summoned him to inaugurate its new Sala Dos and produced “Now”, a new version of “Before”, re-released in January 2011. That same year, he premiered “Los ojos”, a new work of his authorship. In 2012 he premiered at the Autumn to Spring Festival “Las criadas”, an adaptation of the classic by Jean Genet. He also went on stage “Las Plantas” for the first edition of Fringe Madrid and was part of the cast of “Hamlet”, playing Horacio, under the baton of Will Keen. In addition, this same year, he directed Alberto San Juan in the stage reading of Samuel Beckett’s text, “Rumbo a Peor”. On the other hand, he has written the texts for the productions of Losdeade, a Chevy Muraday company, beginning his collaboration with “Return”, which was followed by “Ashes”, “In the desert” and “El cínico”.

He expands his studies with contemporary authors and authors in La Joven Compañía such as María Velasco, Jordi Casanovas, Nando J. He carries out his Dramaturgy and Stage Direction practices at the National Dramatic Center with the work Refugio, by Miguel del Arco and publishes his works Incense and The silence of the clocks in the Fundamentos publishing house. He has written and directed or co-directed works such as Antípodas, El latido mudo or Hacia Regolit, premiered in theaters such as Sala Cuarta Pared, Umbral de primavera and Nave 73. He is part of the jury of awards such as the Jardiel Poncela of the SGAE Foundation or the Calderón Prize de la Barca 2020. He teaches dramaturgy workshops within the 2020 AECID DRAMATOURGIA program and at the New Border Theater. He premieres La Conmoción, within the La Pira project, directed by Alfredo Sanzol first via streaming and later at the Valle Inclán Theater. His work Héroes en December is awarded the 2019 Calderón de la Barca National Theater Award and is part of the 2020/2021 program of the National Dramatic Center. The work is also presented in a dramatized reading format at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona. She specializes in audiovisual language in the Master of Script UCM – The Mediapro Studio and is part of the script team of El Internado: Las Cumbres.
